And we're back in buiness...

So! Sitting happily here with my fluid-free laptop, I can safely say we're back in business. I have missed talking to you, my blogger friends. I say 'to you,' as I really have no idea if I'm talking to anyone at all anymore. My favorite despair.com saying is: BLOGGING: Never before have so many people with so little to say said so much to so few ;o) (And if you have never been to despair.com, you simply MUST check out this favorite of Nathan's). So feel free to comment. Or not. Or just lurk. Or just leave just kidding.

In honor of the MLK Jr. holiday and Black History month, and my current study of Colossians and Philemon, I'm going to do a short series on slavery. In January 2008, I blogged about racism in general, and I really enjoyed the conversations sparked there. I find the topic of slavery within the church, society and the Bible to be fascinating. Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness. William Wilberforce. Abraham Lincoln. Reparations. Joseph. Onesimus. Awls punched through the ear to the doorpost.

Coming up: a look at slavery in the Bible.
