Magical Places, Vintage Spaces

Somewhere over the years, I've developed a love for all things vintage. Well, specifically things from the 30s, 40s, and 50s. My dream car is a '57 Corvette or anything with those delicious curves. I'm listening to Frank Sinatra croon "My Funny Valentine" at the moment. I tend to dream of living in Mayberry. So I went there.
Sort of.

I dropped by a sweet little drugstore in Corinth, MS enroute to get our new puppy. Borroum's has been in operation since 1865, and the current owners are the great-great-somethings of the original owners. The icecream from the soda fountain was as delish as it looks!!!

Hi, Charity,
Thanks for stopping by my blog, and for the nice comment! It's nice to "meet" you :) Yep - we're only about 45 minutes away from you! We actually lived in the Pleasant Grove area from '04-'06. We have some dear friends in the P.G. PNC - we were the first pastors there :)

I've enjoyed getting to know you by browsing through your blog - I especially enjoyed your potty training post - I have SOOO been there! LOL! The first one was scared of everything (we even went through the whole suppository thing, too) - the second one just announced one day at the age of 2 that he wasn't gonna wet his pants anymore, and that he wanted to wear real underwear - and that was that. Never even had an accident. (while his brother was STILL struggling with issues...)
I love your writing style - you should write a book! Your posts are so fun to read :)
Maybe we'll get to meet up in person sometime!

Oh man, now I really am craving mint chocolate chip ice cream...I can't buy it cause I'm the only one in the house that will eat it. And well, me and a half-gallon of ice cream all alone is not a safe thing. :)Come visit and then I'll have an excuse to buy some. :)
